Lea Michele Celebrates Son Ever Leo Turning 4 Years Old with Sweet Tribute Post: ‘Our Beautiful Boy’

Lea Michele‘s little boy is growing up!

On Tuesday, Aug. 20, the Glee alum, 37, shared a special message for her son Ever Leo, whom she shares with husband Zandy Reich, as he turned 4 years old. The proud mom posted a sweet snap on Instagram of herself hugging her little one with one arm, while holding a bouquet of flowers in the other.

“Happy 4th Birthday to our beautiful boy! 🩵,” Michele wrote in her caption.

In the photo, Ever can be seen rocking a pink T-shirt that reads, “In my big brother era,” a nod to the imminent arrival of his baby sister.

The actress announced she was expecting her second child in March, and has since revealed to PEOPLE that her second pregnancy has been “incredibly different” from her first, which was during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

“It was an incredibly different experience, being pregnant with Ever. We were in California, and we were in a pandemic,” Michele said. “So it was a lot of just hanging out at home and very minimal activity. And now, it’s New York, it’s the busy streets. I’m working, I’m a mom, and it’s very different.”

One specific thing Michele said she’s grateful is different this time around is that she gets to share her pregnancy with her loved ones.

“None of my friends saw me pregnant, ever,” she explained. “You know, my best friend, Jonathan [Groff], never saw me pregnant. He wasn’t with me, and my dad was in New York, he was on the East Coast [during] the pandemic. So to be able to have this experience and share this time with my friends and family has been really wonderful, and not something that I got to do before.”

Despite already going through pregnancy with Ever, the Funny Girl star said that the experience still feels new, saying, “it’s been four years, so it doesn’t feel as fresh in my brain.”

“I think a lot of this experience, it has felt very new to me, because I’ve been in a lot of new scenarios and new environments pregnant,” she continued.

She added that Ever cannot wait to be a big brother.

“He’s really excited,” the Scream Queens actress said. “He’s so sweet, just rubbing my belly and talking to the baby. I think he’s going to be a really, really great big brother.”
